The 26-year-old third baseman appeared to make contact with an umpire while arguing balls and strikes during yesterday's game against the Red Sox.
Johnson told reporters that he did not grab anybody. "It is one thing to throw me out of the game for arguing, but that is not enough to kick me out for 7 games."
This season Johnson is batting .272 with 124 hits and 26 home runs. He has scored 60 times and has 78 RBI. | |
