It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Alexander Cartwright League, but last week Danny Cater of the Vancouver Mounties reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Cater rocked opposing pitching for a .471 average (16-34), 2 home runs and 13 RBIs to come away with the award.
Cater is hitting .368 this year with 9 home runs and 51 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .411, 22 walks and scored 60 times. |
