 | Monday, May 13th, 1963: Beavers Blank San Diego, Pfister Winner Dan Pfister of the Portland Beavers was lights out in a 2-hit whitewash of the San Diego Padres. He told BNN reporters, "I had my good stuff and it went where I wanted it to go." He registered 9 strikeouts and no walks in shutting out San Diego 7-0. In 1963 Pfister has fashioned a 5-3 mark, 1.52 ERA and pitched 65.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .191 against him and he has logged 60 strikeouts. |
