 | Monday, June 1st, 1964: KMLL's #1 Batter Announced When Willie Crawford stepped up to the plate in May, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Kenesaw Mountain Landis League Batter of the Month award. The young Omaha right fielder posted a .346 batting average with 11 home runs, 36 RBIs and scored 29 runs. Crawford also worked pitchers for 21 walks to post a .458 on-base percentage. This year Crawford is batting .301 with 50 hits, 12 home runs, 39 RBIs, 37 walks, .435 OBP and has scored 40 runs. |
