Wednesday, June 24th, 1964: Rochester's Sanford Stands out in Shutout
The Columbus Jets met their match today in Rochester hurler Jack Sanford. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 3-hit shutout.

"He just worked us over," the Columbus skipper said. "He probably didn't even take a shower after the game. I don't think he even worked up a sweat. They could probably pitch him again tomorrow."

In the 4-0 victory Sanford whiffed 7 and gave up 1 walk.

In 1964 Sanford has compiled a 2-3 record with a 2.70 ERA in 6 starts.
