Wednesday, July 1st, 1964: KMLL Picks June's Top Pitcher
"The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we may have to start inviting him out with us after the games."

Wade Blasingame put together a very solid month to take home the Kenesaw Mountain Landis League's top pitching honor in June.

The 20-year-old reliever threw with confidence some veteran's lack. In no relief appearances he raked in no saves and 30 strikeouts in 43 innings as he put together his 5-0 record and 2.09 ERA.

So far this year Blasingame has been credited with no saves, registered a 2.15 ERA and struck out 94 in 121.2 innings. He also has a 11-1 record.
