Independence League News Article | | | Monday, July 6th, 1964: Week's #1 Player: Toronto's Johnson There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Stan Johnson, the Toronto left fielder, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Kenesaw Mountain Landis League Player of the Week honors.
Johnson piled up 12 hits in 22 at-bats, 1 home run and 8 RBIs while hitting .545.
This season Johnson is batting .356 with 48 RBIs, 58 runs scored and 7 home runs. | |
