Team officials triumphantly announced that the Red Sox and superstar right fielder Johnny Callison have closed a deal that keeps the 26-year-old in a Boston uniform for another 6 years.

Wednesday, April 21st, 1965: Dodgers, Red Sox Trade Players
The players apparently knew they were on the trading block, so it did not surprise one of them when he learned that he had been traded to Los Angeles. "Got my bags packed already," he said, when reached for comment. The Dodgers will receive 28-year old starting pitcher Bill Monbouquette, while nothing will go to the Boston Red Sox.

Thus far in his career, Monbouquette has put up a won-loss record of 75-80. Lifetime he has an ERA of 3.71, struck out 841 batters and held opposing teams to a .255 batting average.
