| Breaking News |  | Sunday, August 16th, 1964: Moeller Whitewashes Denver
It was a smooth and solid performance by Joe Moeller of the Omaha Dodgers against Denver today. He crafted a fine 3-hitter in blanking them 1-0 and chalked up 3 strikeouts and no walks along the way.
"It certainly makes my job easy," said the Omaha skipper. "When my pitcher pitches a shutout. I can just sit back, watch and enjoy."
To date this season, Moeller has a record of 5 wins and 3 losses and a 2.36 ERA. He has appeared in 8 games and struck out 41 in 53.1 innings.

 | Wednesday, May 27th, 1964: Odom Spins Shutout Against Bears
In an outstanding mound performance Blue Moon Odom fired a complete-game shutout against the Bears. He tossed a 3-hitter for Dallas Fort Worth to beat Denver 1-0 at Burnett Field.
This season Odom has compiled a 3-7 mark with a 2.91 ERA.

 | Tuesday, April 28th, 1964: Injury Sidelines Joe Unknown for Season
The season is ending on a bad note for Joe Unknown, right fielder for the Denver Bears. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Unknown was hurt against the Dallas Fort Worth Rangers while running the bases. He suffered a torn hamstring muscle and will be out for at least 7 months.
